Heading East is a 600 kilometer long, self-supported ultra bikepacking adventure that takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands and Germany. Whether you take on the challenge solo, as a pair or as a group, this event is about adventure, endurance and discovering new places on two wheels.
There is no support crew, no feed zones, and no shortcuts. Just you, your bike, your route, and the journey ahead.
Along the route you'll pass a series of checkpoints where you'll collect stamps to prove you've completed the course. Every stamp tells the story of another milestone reached and another adventure earned.
Ride at your own pace. Rest when you need to. Enjoy the scenery. Push your limits.

Follow the race
Every participant carries a GPS tracker, allowing friends, family, and fellow cyclists to follow the journey live. Watch the moving dots make their way through forests, across heathlands, and over the rolling hills of the Netherlands and Germany—day and night.
A live map shows the location of every participant, while a live leaderboard displays each rider's progress through the checkpoints. Whether you're following a friend, a family member, or simply enjoying the adventure from home, you can experience every stage of Heading East as it unfolds.
